We spent a weekend in the studio and recorded 2 new songs. It’s top secret which songs it is but we can reveal this much, we are very happy with the results!

It’s getting a bit heavier, a bit softer and A LOT better! At least that’s our opinion. :)

However our adventures are not over! In October we will play at the Blues De Cerdanyola Festival on the 20th of October! Other bands on this festival is The Yardbirds, Devon Allman’s Honeytribe, Wishbone Ash, Blackfoot and Y&T just to mention a few. Check out the festival here: http://www.bluesdecerdanyola.com/.

This show is a part of our Spain tour which will take place in the Catalonia area playing in Palafrugell, Bacelona, Cerdanyola and more to come. :)

We had some problems with communication so when we showed up for the gig there were no PA system. Oh my Oh my, this means that there is no amplification for vocals, wich I think is quite important. (guess who’s writing :P ) Anyway our great friend Ron steps in as the saviour and does a couple of phone calls. Time is starting to get ti the point when we really needs a solution for this. Suddenly Martin shows up with a PA system that he is referring to as just enough for vocals. He sets it up, in 20 minutes(!), and when he’s done it turns out to be a top of the line PA system and everything is run through the system. The show went really well and we had crystal clear stage sound, which is really unusual for a little bar like that. So we really want to send out a big thank you to Ron and Martin!

It’s a great little place with really nice staff and crowd, but hot. So hot that we were dripping wet afterwards. We arrived to Krefeld at 5 pm after driving since 6 am. The soundcheck is done and it sounds great! Kulturrampe is the name of the place and it is a really cool oldindustrial building that is full of restaurants and bars. We are really looking forward to meet the people here and so far we’ve only met nice people.

Day -1, Tuesday:  We’ve just packed The Brimstone-mobil and early tomorrow morning we are heading off to Krefeld, Germany. Kulturrampe is the first stop on this almost three week long tour. We hope that you will follow us on the road here on our brand new website. Photos, stories and the latest news will be updated as often as we can, hopefully every day, because we want to do this tour with you!

It’s going to be really cool to meet all of you guys that are listeners and to convert the rest of you to become listeners and followers of The Brimstone Days. We don’t want to spoil the surprise but we can tell you this much, there will be some new songs that hasn’t been recorded yet.

Which leads us straight to the next topic – RECORDING! We are working hard on getting back into the studio. There are some plans but it is too soon to say more than that!

The Brimstone Days has even more secrets but you have to be patient and stay tuned. :)
